資生堂の企業文化誌『花椿』の元編集者・林央子が2002年に創刊したオルタナティブマガジン『here and there』。ファッション、アート、日常の断片を等価に扱いながら、「自分の時間、友人、出来事のなかで記録する価値のあるものを記録する」というDIY精神を軸に、既存の雑誌の枠組みにとらわれない独自の編集スタイルを築いてきました。その誌面には、スーザン・チャンチオロ、ミランダ・ジュライ、マーク・ボスウィック、マイク・ミルズ、BLESS、小金沢健人、ホンマタカシといったジャンルを越えた作家たちが集い、写真、テキスト、ドローイング、会話、手紙など、多様なメディアを通してその活動を記録し続けています。本作『here and there vol1 - vol.13.5』は、2012年にNieves Booksから刊行された『here and there 1–10』に、11号から13.5号までを加えた拡張版。本書の出版を記念して、林央子は長年の友人たちとともにメッセージや思い出を執筆、創刊時から13.5号までのデザインを手がけてきた服部一成が、本書でも新たに装丁を担当しています。表紙と裏表紙は、黒・白・青の3色によるシルクスクリーン印刷です。700部。

here and there, launched in 2002 by Nakako Hayashi following her editorial work at Shiseido’s cultural magazine Hanatsubaki, is an alternative publication that weaves together fashion, art, and fragments of everyday life on equal footing. Built on a DIY ethos of “recording what is worth recording in one’s time, friends, and happenings,” the magazine developed a highly personal and independent editorial style, unconstrained by conventional magazine formats. Its pages have featured a wide range of creatives—including Susan Cianciolo, Miranda July, Mark Borthwick, Mike Mills, BLESS, Kento Kobayashi, and Takashi Homma—whose works and voices are recorded through photographs, texts, drawings, conversations, and letters. here and there vol.1–vol.13.5 is an expanded compilation that builds upon here and there 1–10, published by Nieves Books in 2012, now including issues 11 through 13.5. In celebration of this release, Hayashi invited longtime friends to contribute personal messages and reflections. Kazunari Hattori, who has designed every issue since its inception to 13.5, returned to design the new cover. The front and back covers are printed in silkscreen using three colors: black, white, and blue. Edition of 700 copies.

林央子 はやし・なかこ
1966年生まれ。編集者、ライター、キュレーター、リサーチャー。資生堂『花椿』の編集に携わったのち、01年にフリーランスになり、02年に『here and there』を創刊。96年「Baby Generation」展や14年「拡張するファッション」展のように、出版物企画に端を発した展覧会の創出に携わってきた。著書に『拡張するファッション』（2011）『つくる理由』(2020)『わたしと『花椿』』(2023)ほか。2023年より、University of the Arts London, London College of Fashionに在籍する(PhD candidate /Fashion Journalism)。リサーチタイトルは「Living, Thinking and Creating Together: Becoming through here and there, an Alternative Magazine」

服部一成 はっとり・かずなり
グラフィックデザイナー。1964年東京生まれ。主な仕事に、「キユーピーハーフ」の広告や、雑誌『流行通信』『here and there』『真夜中』のアートディレクション、「三菱一号館美術館」「新潟市美術館」「弘前れんが倉庫美術館」のVI、エルメスのイベント「petit hのオブジェたち」のアートディレクション、展覧会「拡張するファッション」「声ノマ　全身詩人 吉増剛造展」のグラフィックデザイン、ホンマタカシ『きわめてよいふうけい』中平卓馬『来たるべき言葉のために』などの写真集や、岡本啓『ノックがあった』大崎清夏『暗闇に手をひらく』などの詩集のブックデザイン、ロックバンド「くるり」のアートワーク。毎日デザイン賞、第6回亀倉雄策賞、東京ADC賞、東京ADC会員賞、原弘賞、東京TDCグランプリなどを受賞。
