バルセロナをを拠点に活動するアーティスト兼グラフィックデザイナー、マーク・ボーレ（Mark Bohle）のスケッチブック・アーカイブ集の第2弾。前作『Pica Pica 1』の刊行以降、2023年12月以降に描き溜められた30冊のスケッチブックの中から、選りすぐりのドローイングが収録されています。バルセロナ、シュトゥットガルト、ベルリンといった都市を移動する日々のなかで描かれたページには、思考の痕跡を記した線、あるいは伸びやかな落書きといった、完成されたアートワークにはない生々しいプロセスが記録されています。ピュアな落書きからユーモアを交えたスケッチまで、作家の絶え間ない好奇心と視線のあり方を辿ることができる一冊です。

Since the publication of Pica Pica 1, Mark Bohle has not stopped filling sketchbooks. Between Barcelona, Stuttgart, Berlin, and other transit points, this second installment gathers a selection of drawings from the thirty sketchbooks he has completed since December 2023. In the pages of Pica Pica 2, there are lines that think, doodles that stretch, and drawings that laugh at themselves — all marked by the same curiosity and freshness as always. A natural continuation of Mark's process: a way of looking that never stops.
