Murmur, Orbus / Ellen Gallagher

アメリカ人アーティスト、エレン・ギャラガー（Ellen Gallagher）の作品集。本書は、2004年に開催された展覧会「Orbus」にあわせて刊行されたもの。オランダ人のブックデザイナー、イルマ・ボーム（Irma Boom）がデザインを担当し、テキストを収めた1冊と、映像を収めた4冊がマグネットによって接着されています。映像を収録した4冊は、複数の連続した場面が収められており、パラパラ漫画のようにめくることで映像を見るように読み進めることができます。

A publication by American artist Ellen Gallagher, published on the occasion of the 2005 exhibition 'Orbus'. Designed by the renowned Dutch book designer Irma Boom, the work consists of five separate volumes—one for text and four for film stills—that are uniquely held together by magnets. The four volumes of film stills contain sequential frames, allowing the reader to flip through them like a flip-book and experience the images as a moving picture.

This remarkable artist's book is held in the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
