ストックホルムを拠点とするアメリカ人デザイナー、シェーン・シュネック（Shane Schneck）と、彼が主宰する「Office for Design」の10年間の活動を記録した作品集。好評を博した初版に続き、新たな装丁で2024年に刊行された第二版。

シュネックは、ミニマルなデザインで知られるイタリアの巨匠、ピエロ・リッソーニ（Piero Lissoni）のもとでキャリアをスタートさせ、2010年に独立。以来、素材の可能性を探求し、生産背景への深い理解に基づいた、シンプルでありながら機能的なデザインで国際的な評価を確立してきました。彼の理念は業界のスタンダードに挑戦するシンプルかつ革新的な製品づくりにあり、HAYのためにデザインしたサイドテーブル「Bowler」をはじめ、NIKE、HUAWEI、SONYといった多様な企業と協業を重ねてきました。

本書では、これまで手掛けてきた作品のプリミティブモデルやプロトタイプを中心に収録、スマートフォンからキッチンツール、家のインテリアの設計や家具に至るまで、日常的に使用されている作品が掲載されています。

ハーマンミラーのアーキビストのエイミー・アーシャマン（Amy Auscherman）やデザイン評論家のジョン・ケイジオ（John Kazior）がテキストを寄稿。ブックデザインと出版は、自身の事務所「Office for Design」が手がけています。300部限定。

Objects in Dialog is a visual archive by Swedish-American industrial designer Shane Schneck. The 224 page book documents projects developed over the last decade by his studio Office for Design in Stockholm, Sweden. Collaborating with some of the worlds most innovative companies, Nike and Huawei and HAY. The book is organised around primitive models and production prototypes. Documenting everyday objects from smartphones to kitchen tools, scenography to interior architecture and furniture. Contributes include Herman Miller archivist - Amy Auscherman, and design critic John Kazior. With photography by Omar Sarto, Delfino Legnani, and Rasmus Norlander.
