A photobook by Dutch photographer Petra Stavast. The title, S75, derives from a project named after the Siemens S75 mobile phone released in 2005—the artist's first mobile phone equipped with a camera. Between 2006 and 2022, Stavast used the S75 to capture portraits in Amsterdam, Banff, and Shanghai. Printed on coarse, newsprint-like paper, these low-resolution portraits encapsulate a beauty often overlooked in our contemporary era, where anyone can effortlessly produce uniform, high-quality photographs.
