The Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2023

最も美しいスイスの本を選出するブックアワード「The Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2023」の受賞作をまとめた作品集。2023年は、スイスのデザインスタジオ「Hammer Grafik」のセレイナ・ローテンベルガー（Sereina Rothenberger）や、雑誌『BILL』のジュリー・ピーターズ（Julie Peeters）、ジョン・モーガン（John Morgan）らが審査員を務めています。

本書は、アワード創設80周年を記念して発行され、400を超える応募の中から選ばれた18作の入賞作品を紹介。二つの冊子を挟み込むような２冊組となっており、一方では受賞作についての詳細と論評がまとめられています。もう一方では、スイスのブックデザインの歴史についてまとめた良著『Beauty and the book』（2004）刊行から現在までの20年間の変遷について言及し、スイスのブックデザインの現在と未来について議論されています。『Beauty and the book』と同じくジュリア・ボーン（Julia Born）が編集、デザインを担当。

An initiative of the Swiss Federal Office of Culture, the Most Beautiful Swiss Books competition aims to honour outstanding achievements in book design and promote and showcase high-quality book production. This double-volume 2023 edition is published on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the competition. A total of eighteen winning volumes are presented, selected from among more than 400 submissions. All books were judged by an international jury chaired by Sereina Rothenberger and consisting of Gina Bucher, Gregor Huber, John Morgan, and Julie Peeters.
