The 21st issue of conceptual visual magazine WERK is a collaboration with French designer Martine Bedin, one of the members of the design collective Memphis. The issue acts like a monograph or sketchbook, extensively documenting Martine’s drawings and paintings. An interview with Bedin by Alison Harley runs alongside, discussing her years at Memphis and the trajectory of her work since. The publication is divided into six sections, each with a different geometric die-cut pattern. The edges of the pages are circles, triangles and squares hand painted with a different colour ink so that the form of the magazine feels like a Memphis sculpture.
