写真家、松岡一哲の作品集。2023年にタカ・イシイギャラリー フォトグラフィー／フィルムにて開催された同名写真展の展示作品を収録しています。
松岡は、ポートレートやファッションを中心とした広告写真の分野で活躍する一方、日常の中で出会う風景や人物、植物などを主題とした作品を継続的に制作してきました。アナログならではの色彩や、ブレやボケによるやわらかな質感をまとったイメージは、現実からわずかに浮遊したような淡いトーンを持ちながら、写し出されたすべてを等価な存在として立ち上げます。
近年の松岡は、写真における抽象表現への関心をより強めています。本作には、色彩の粒子が靄のように広がる「bloom」（2022年）や、有機的な揺らぎと鮮やかな青が印象的な「frue」（2020年）など、抽象度の高い作品群も収録。かたちや色彩へと還元されていくイメージと、現実の断片とのあいだを行き来する独自の表現が展開されています。

また、幼少期からの絵画への関心に由来する構成感覚は、画面を横切る線やフォルム、色彩として無意識に現れ、過去作とも連なる視覚的なリズムを生み出しています。
本作に収められた写真は、2020年から2023年にかけて撮影されたものです。社会的な分断が生じた時代においても、松岡は変わらず日常へとレンズを向け続けました。それらのイメージは作家自身の記録であると同時に、鑑賞者それぞれの記憶を呼び起こし、個人的な体験と静かに共鳴します。抽象と具象のあいだを往還するこれらの写真は、見る者の中に新たな関係性と余白を生み出します。

Alongside his work in commercial photography—particularly in portraiture and fashion—Matsuoka has consistently produced photographic works that capture everyday scenes, people, and plants encountered in daily life. Characterized by the unique qualities of analog photography, his images embrace soft colors, blur, and out-of-focus elements, creating a gentle, dreamlike tone that slightly distances them from reality while allowing all subjects within the frame to emerge as equally present.
In recent years, Matsuoka has increasingly explored abstraction in photography. This book includes works such as “bloom” (2022), where particles of color spread like mist, and “frue” (2020), marked by vivid blues and organic fluctuations—revealing a deepening engagement with abstract expression. His images move fluidly between figuration and abstraction, at times dissolving into color and form.
Influenced by a long-standing interest in painting since childhood, Matsuoka’s distinctive sense of composition appears throughout his work as lines, shapes, and fields of color that subtly structure the image, creating visual rhythms that also resonate with his earlier series.
The works in this volume were photographed between 2020 and 2023, during a period marked by global disruption. Even amid social isolation, Matsuoka continued to turn his lens toward the everyday. These accumulated moments function as both personal records and shared points of resonance, quietly evoking memories within each viewer.
Oscillating between abstraction and representation, these photographs open a space for new relationships and interpretations to emerge.
