Heptapod Solresol Ruins / Mizukami Manami, Kanno Rie

This is a collection of records from "Heptapod Solresol Ruins," a two-person exhibition by Mizukami Manami and Kanno Rie, held at VOU/Bo Gallery in Kyoto in March 2022. This exhibition, the first to showcase the work of these two Tokyo-based artists in the Kansai region, was conceived with the idea of encountering and communicating with unknown others through material objects. In addition to producing new works specifically for the exhibition, Mizukami also presented a new work in collaboration with astronomer Tomohiro Fujita, in which images are revealed through heat, and Kanno presented a new installation using the sounds of seagulls. This book includes artist talks held during and after the exhibition, as well as reviews by co-creator Tomohiro Fujita and poet Kanye Naha.
