This book is by Joyce Shi, a New York-based graphic designer. It documents the view from her window, captured in the brief moments after waking up at 6:45 A.M. twice a week, just before she turns on her laptop to teach an online course. A diary-like, personal document created alongside her public-facing role as a design educator, it quietly captures fragments of daily life that might otherwise have been overlooked.
Published by G Axis Press, the publishing label founded by the designer. Some publications from G Axis Press are held in the collection of the Thomas J. Watson Library at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met).
